Who can attend
Under the new Constitutional Carry Law any one 18 or older may legally carry a openly or concealed firearm in the state of South Carolina without a permit. With that new law that allows anyone 15 year of age or older to take a SC CWP class to learn the laws of self defense so they are prepared for an act of self defense. They will hold their paperwork until they turn 18 and then obtain their SC MULTI STATE CARRY PERMIT.
Anyone 15 years of age or older may attend as South Carolina Law allows individuals 18 years old or older to legally carry a handgun in South Carolina. Those 15, 16 and 17 must hold their paperwork until their 18th birthday to obtain their permit as you have to be 18 to obtain a permit in the state of South Carolina. If you are 18 or older and are going to possess a handgun it is encouraged to learn the laws to ensure you do no lose your second amendment and your voting rights by violating a state gun law.
NEW CONSTITUTIONAL CARRY LAW:
Anyone that violates a SC Gun Law with a Concealable Weapon will be punished by stiffer penalties and if you do not possess a SC CWP you will also receive an additional 3 year prison sentence for NOT obtaining a SC CWP.
